The life of a 32 year old teacher of Koraso M/A Primary in Dormaa Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo region, Miss Joyce Adoma Boatemaa is in serious danger as she in dire need of an amount of 27,000 US Dollars to enable her undertake a kidney transplant in China.
Miss Adoma, a former student of St. Monica’s Senior High School and the Abetifi College of Education respectively who could barely speak is appealing to individuals, philanthropists and benevolent organisations to help her raise the amount.
In an interview with banewsgh.com, the mother of Joyce Boatemaa, Madam Vida Animwaa in a soft and appealing tone on behalf of the family appealed to the general public to come to their aid in order to save her.
According to her the sickness has taken a tolling effect on them financially since all their resources are now geared towards the medical expenses of their daughter.
“She attends dialysis three times a week at a cost of Gh¢ 130 per visit plus transportation of Gh¢ 300. We are doing the best we can but we can barely sustain the financial burden as it has become an albatross on our neck.
“We cannot go to work anymore because we have to be around her all the time and so we are appealing to everybody to come to our aid “.
