The public lecture of the vice presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia which was scheduled to place at the Accra International Conference Centre has been hit by a last minute setback with barely 24 hours to the event as management of the venue have revealed that the place is unavailable.
The public lecture which was billed to take place at the Accra International Conference Centre has now been moved to the National Theater.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s political programme Ekosii Sen, an aide to Dr. Bawumia Anthony, Anthony N-yoh Abayifaa Karbo confirmed the change in venue as according to him, they were informed at the last minute by management of the Accra International Conference Centre that they could not get approval from the Ministry for the use of the facility.
“We made all the necessary arrangements for the use of the venue only to be informed at the last minute by management that the place is unavailable. Thankfully, we have been able to secure another, that is the National Theater and so the general public should take note and come in their numbers.”
“The State of the Ghanaian Economy – A Foundation of Concrete or Straw”, a public lecture by Dr. Bawumia comes off tomorrow and will be chaired by former president John Agyekum Kuffour. The public lecture is expected to give a true picture of the Ghanaian economy.
