Election 2016 | Nduom, 2 Others Finally Cleared By EC To Contest + How They Will Appear On The Ballot Paper

The Electoral Commission has finally cleared three other presidential hopefuls to contest the 2016 presidential elections.

The three are Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom of the PPP, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings of the NDP and Dr. Edward Mahama of the PNC.

Two presidential nominees, Mr. Akwasi Addai Odike of the UPP and Mr. Kwabena Agyei of the RPD according to the commission had earlier withdrew their nominations whilst Dr. Agyenim Boateng of the UFP, Mr. Ward Brew of the DPP, Madam Akua Donkor of the GFP, Mr. Hassan Ayariga of the APC, Mr. Kofi Akpaloo of the IPP, Dr. Henry Lartey of the GCPP, Mr. Richard Nixon Tettey  of the UDSP  and Mr. Alfred Kwame Asiedu Walker an Independent Candidate had their nomination forms rejected because they did not conform to the regulations of the CI 94.

The decision means 7 persons will be contesting as presidential candidates in December.

Balloting for positions was also conducted to determine how the candidates will appear on the ballot paper.

Below is how they will appear on the ballot paper.

1. CPP – Ivor Greenstreet
2. NDP – Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings
3. NDC – John Dramani Mahama
4. PPP – Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom
5. NPP – Nana Akufo-Addo
6. PNC – Dr. Edward Mahama
7. JOY – Jacob Osei Yeboah
