A 37-year-old businessman, Mr. Ernest Arthur has been confirmed as the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) for the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly.
Mr. Ernest Arthur was given the nod after the Assembly Members voted overwhelmingly to endorse him.
The new MCE who until his appointment was the Cape Coast South constituency Chairman polled 60 out of the 61 valid votes cast representing 98.37%.
Addressing the Assembly Members after he has been sworn into office, the new MCE thank the assembly members for the endorsement and called on them to support him in dealing with the numerous problems confronting the Metropolis.
He promised to create an enabling environment to attract investors to the area.
