The Regional Director of Bono-Ahafo Branch of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Radio B.A.R, Madam Eunice Obeng Yeboah has on behalf of the corporation expressed gratitude to the Church of Pentecost, Sunyani central district for constructing a security post for Radio B.A.R
The church has built an ultra modern security post for the corporation worth, eleven thousand 894 cedis with support from Apollo Enterprise which also contributed one thousand 300 cedis, whilst Radio B.A.R. also provided burnt bricks worth 582 cedis towards the project.
At a short ceremony to commission the project,the GBC Regional Director stated that,the corporation was planning to put up the structure but due to financial constraints, it was unable to execute it until the Pentecost Church intervened through Rev. Nana James Ofori after an appeal by elder Twumasi Ankrah, a worker at Radio B.A.R. who is also a standing member of the church.
According to her, the intervention of the church to construct the security post was timely because it has eased the station of one the challenges it is grappling with.
Madam Eunice Yeboah indicated that,the provision of the security post would go a long way to boost security situation at B.A.R. and offer some respite to the security personnel.
She expressed her appreciation to the Church of Pentecost for the benevolence and appealed to the church and other corporate bodies to come to the aid of Radio B.A.R. by helping it build a fence wall to make security complete at the station.
