Organisers of the prestigious Ghana Movie Awards (MAG) have opened nominations for the 6th edition of the awards planned to take place at the Accra International Conference Center on December 30, 2015.
Addressing a group of journalists at a press soiree in Accra on Thursday night, the founder/CEO of MAG, Fred Nuamah who was also celebrating his 40th birthday, said their new partner Silhouette Advertising, will add the needed extra excellence to this year’s awards and lift the benchmark above what is already established.
Mr Nuamah indicated that the entry process is currently opened and would close on November 20, 2015, after which a nominees list would be released on December 18, 2015.
“Though by convention submission of the 2015 entries opened immediately after last year’s Ghana Movie Awards, the official call for entries is necessary to as a reminder, especially when a deadline has been fixed.”
Ghana Movie Awards (MAG) recognizes excellence by honouring the achievements of film industry professionals in Africa and is organized by Gollywood Production Limited and Silhouette Advertising with support from major stakeholders of the film industry.
The press soiree was also attended by officials of Silhouette Advertising including the CEO, McLaren Joey Hammond, General Manager, Clement Baffour and Samuel Kofi Nartey, the Legal Advisor.
