Somebody should call Hon. Isaac Asiamah right now and tell him to stop meddling in the affairs of the Black Stars and their winning bonus.

News on the ground suggests that the Minister designate is leading the management of Black Stars with a proposal to the President to increase the Senior National team’s winning bonus from $8000 to $12000 or better still bring back their previous $10000 they were receiving before Hon. Nii Lante took over the reigns as the Sports Minister.

Hon. I know I also don’t have any right to meddle in your affairs but I once heard your interview with a radio station in Accra and I liked the way and manner you maturely answered the questions and your contribution towards the matter they were discussing.

The fact that such a learned man like you wants to end his political career and ambition belittles my imagination and understanding.

Afriyie Ankra, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu now the minority leader in Parliament are all fine gentlemen who could have easily succeeded John Mahama but for that ‘woman’, most Ghanaians do not want to hear their names. A Minister was nick named ‘pampers’ all because of this same ‘woman’ and not forgetting your very own Mallam Issah who also spent time behind bars.

I’m for correction but ‘that Ministry’, ‘your Ministry’ is the only Ministry which has “Landguards”, these landguards are at post 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These landguards eat, drink, worship and sleep sports. These landguards are the Ghanaian Sports Journalists.

If only Hon. Isaac Asiamah knew how support for the Black Stars diminished over night? Truth be told, these landguards for which I am part were the reason why the enormous support for the Black Stars disappeared just by the power of the ‘microphone and social media’.

Hon. Yaw Osafo Marfo increased the bonus because we had not being to the world cup before and so the money really motivated the players to play their hearts out for the Black stars in 2006 and 2010. The kind of things a Ghanaian will do to go to America for the first time can be crazy but it will earn him the title “Borga” irrespective of the things he did. Do you think that same person if he has been there twice, will do those crazy things to go there the third time?

I hope and believe you want your reign to be successful like Hon. Osafo Marfo who later earned the title ‘Oyaade3yie’ due to his contribution towards the Black Stars and the Ministry? It is risky, very risky to use his approach.

Do not use his approach!!!
