The opposition National Democatic Congress (NDC) will today hold an emergency meeting over the state of insecurity in the country.
The National Executive Committee (NEC) according to party sources will be having the meeting in the wake of the daylight attack on its chief scribe, Mr Asiedu Nketia.
The meeting Ghanaxtra.com is reliably informed will be centred on the attack and strategise on how to prevent such occurrence in future.
According to the National Organiser of the party, Kofi Adams, the incident coupled with similar attacks in the past is a reflection of the level of insecurity in the country.
“It started with an invasion of some of our homes, to courts and churches and now some political opponents are being attacked.”
Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia was yesterday attacked by some unidentified individuals wielding AK 47 at Suhum in the Eastern region.
The men driving a vehicle with registration number GT 666-12 and wearing face masks are alleged to have crossed the vehicle of Mr Asiedu Nketia.
They then started hitting the bonet of his vehicle angrily without any provocation.
The thugs brandishing their AK 47 also attacked other vehicles and only sped off when they realised they were been filmed.
