I Praised Mahama Because It’s Difficult To Criticise A Prominent Person In The Face – Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II
The Dormaahene, Osagyefuo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II has revealed that he endorsed the then president and candidate John Dramani of the NDC ahead of the 2016 elections because it is difficult to look at a prominent person in the face and criticise him.
In what many political watchers have described as a face saving strategy, Oseadeyo Agyeman Badu II revealed it is not fair to reproach people when they visit you.
Making the sudden u-turn, he said once people pay a courtesy call on you, it is only fair you extol their achievements and not their negatives in order to motivate them.
He was however quick to add that he stands by the assertion that the infrastructural achievements of the John Mahama led administration in the annals of our politics is unparalleled and only the achievements Dr Kwame Nkrumah surpasses him in that area.
Speaking at meeting with the President, Nana Akufo-Addo last week in Dormaa, the overlord of Dormaa who claims his comments were distorted and twisted by the media for political expediency said he will do same should the current president fulfill his campaign promises to the people.
The Dormahene and a host of other chiefs came under serious criticisms in the run up to the 2016 elections after they were captured on tape openly endorsing some presidential candidates.
