What wouldn’t you do to get a job after staying at home for many years after school without receiving a single response to any of your 30 job applications?
Twenty-five-year-old Solomon Adu Kwakye, on Friday, created his own opportunity by breaching security protocols to hand-in his application letter and CV to First Lady, Lordina Mahama, when she visited Mampong to launch a campaign for prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
According to myjoyonline.com, Solomon Adu Kwaakye, a native of Kofiase near Asante Mampong said, he had to do this since he has written 30 applications without a response after completing school two years ago with a degree in Environmental Science from the University for Development Studies.
Adu Kwakye told reporters that he even had to squeeze money from his aged father to prepare his letter and CV when he heard the First Lady was visiting Asante Mampong.
According to him, his parents who are into farming can no longer cater for him and his other siblings.
