Aba Fresh Charity Club Fetes With Prison Inmates To Climax 30 Days Of Fasting

Members of Aba Fresh Fun Club, a Charity Movement in the Sunyani Municipality have visited the Brong- Ahafo Central Prisons and feted with the Muslim Prisoners on the occasion of the Eid- Fitr commemoration.

The visit afforded the Association an opportunity to interact with them, know their concerns and basic needs and to also give them the hope that, they have not been neglected by the Muslim community.

The items include, cooked rice, sachet water, loaves of bread and clothings.

Presenting the items, the Patron of the Association, Alhaji Alhassan Iddrisu  said the donation was in fulfilment of a pledge made by the Association to fete with the Prisoners after the fasting.

He stated that, as a Charity Club, they are committed to helping the needy in the society including the Prison inmates as part of their social responsibilities.

He assured them that, the Association would continue to work closely with the Prisons Authorities in addressing some of their constraints to make the conditions of the prisons better.

The P.R.O of the Prisons Service A.S.P Ziniel Vincent who received the items on behalf of the inmates thanked the Association for the kind donations.

He disclosed that, the Prisons is bedevilled with many challenges with included feeding and drugs.

A.S.P Ziniel appealed to the general public to visit the prisons and acquaint themselves with the prison condition and donate generously to complement government efforts.

The Organiser of the Club, Abdul Manaf congratulated them for observing the 30 days fast and commended them for their steadfast in the worship of Allah inspite of their present predicament.

He advised them not to forget their God and should always remember and look up to him for help since he is capable of doing everything.

The Association, last month during the fasting visited the prisons and donated some items to the muslim prisoners towards their fasting and prayers.
