Akua Donkor Wants Akufo-Addo, Bawumia Removed From Office Over Anas Exposé

The founder of the Ghana Freedom Party, Madam Akua Donkor has filed a suit at the Supreme Court seeking to remove President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia from office.

The suit according to Madam Akua Donkor is based on Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi’s comment in the  Anas corruption exposé that the President and his Vice could be influenced when it comes to the award of contract.

The suit avers that their removal from office will allow for fair investigations to be conducted into the claims by the former GFA boss.

She is praying the apex court of the land to order the Attorney-General, who is named as the defendant in the suit, to advice the two highest office holders in the country to step down.

Portions of the suit as filed by the plaintiff reads: “An order of this honourable court directing the defendant to advise the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to step aside since their names were mentioned in the documentary video by investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.”
