The spokesperson for Alhaji P.M.C., Mr Charles Akowuah has on behalf of their campaign team expressed their deepest appreciation to the delegates for the confidence reposed in their candidate by voting massively for him in the just ended N.D.C delegates congress held in Kumasi in Ashanti region.
Mr Abdallah Bin Abdallah, popularly known in political circle as Alhaji P.M.C., one time Bono-Ahafo Regional Chairman of the N.D.C garnered 1,725 votes out of the total votes cast to defeat his contenders to become the new National Treasurer of the party.
Speaking in an interview in the aftermath of the congress, Mr Akowuah attributed the victory of Alhaji P.M.C. to hard work and comprehensive campaign he executed prior to the congress, adding that, as a grass root man, he was one of the candidates who was able to campaign in all the regions in the country.
He said the victory chalked in the election is not a victory for Alhaji P.M.C. as an individual but for the N.D.C as a party and the people of Bono-Ahafo.
The spokesperson stated that, the newly elected national treasurer of the ruling N.D.C is aware of the social contract he has signed with the people and promised not to let them down.
According to him, Alhaji P.M.C. is not going to work in isolation but in a team and therefore he would from next year present his programme of action to the party which would help boost the treasury department of the party to position itself financially towards retaining power in 2016.
Mr Akowuah also used the occasion to congratulate General Mosquito on his re-election as the General Secretary of the party and called on the members to support the newly elected executives in their quest to boost the fortunes of the N.D.C in the 2016 general elections.
