Anas Exposé: We Haven’t Invited Anthony Karbo – CID

Contrary to an earlier report that the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has invited  Anthony Karbo to assist in investigations in relation to the Anas exposé, it has turned out to be false.

ACP Aboagye Nyarko, the Deputy Director of CID told journalists on Thursday, May 24, 2018, that her outfit has not invited the legislator as been speculated in by some media houses.

“In respect to the invitation of the Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways, I want to emphasise and inform you that nobody has invited him to come and assist with investigations.”

She revealed that they have started investigations into the matter and at the appropriate time they will come out with their findings.

“Investigations have just commenced and we appeal to the press to give us ample time to enable us come confidently to you with whatever we find”.

There have been series of speculations ever since some excerpts of the yet to premiered Anas exposé cropped up.

The excerpts which have been watched by President Nana Akufo-Addo has let to arrest of GFA boss, Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi.

Interestingly, today it emerged that another individual, Anthony Karbo had also been invited by the police to assist in investigations.

The Lawra legislator is reported to have been mentioned by Kwesi Nyantakyi as one of the chief facilitators who can help people have access to the presidency.
