André Ayew Makes 10-Man List For 2015 CAF African Footballer of the Year Award | See Full List Of Nominees

André Ayew is the only Ghanaian in contention for the 2015 Confederation of African Football (CAF) player of the year award after Christian Atsu failed to make it out of the initial 37-man list.

The Ghanaian international is named among ten men on the shortlist released by CAF on Monday which also has four-time winner Yaya Touré gunning for a fifth straight title.

Also on the list is Borussia Dortmund’s Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who has been extraordinary this season, scoring 17 goals in 14 games so far.

The CAF Footballer of the year will be named on Thursday, January 7, 2016 in Abuja, Nigeria after voting by the coaches or technical directors of the national associations affiliated to the continental football organizing body.

Ayew has been outstanding since moving to the English Premier League in summer and has scored five league goals in 11 matches. His performance at Swansea has earned him the Premier League player of the month of August and is named among the preliminary list for FIFA World Footballer of The Year.
