Mr Andoh popularly called Atta Promzy, was honoured by the Bono-Ahafo Students Union for his invaluable contribution to the development of the Brong-Ahafo region. The award also recognized his achievements as a young entrepreneur and what he has successfully done with Ark FM since he took over as MD.
In an exclusive interview with banewsgh.com the popular radio personality and marketing professional disclosed that he and his team will play a major role in setting the Brong-Ahafo agenda in 2015. He was of the opinion that this is one thing radio stations in the region have not done over the years.
Ark FM has been involved in many corporate social responsibility projects among which include blood donation exercises, donations to the poor and needy, corporate sports tournaments, support for students’ groups, events sponsorship, etc.
The awards and fundraising ceremony brought together sons and daughters of the region in various fields of endeavour who are successfully providing solutions to myriads of problems across the world.
It was also a time to exchange ideas about the way forward for the region. When the floor was opened for knowledge sharing, speaker upon speaker expressed sentiments about the need for the chiefs and political leadership to unite and fight a common course for Brong-Ahafo.
Everyone who spoke wanted to see the region set its own agenda. Many also were disappointed at the lack of a parliamentary caucus for Brong-Ahafo.
The premier students body additionally honoured Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Nana Agyeman Badu II (Omanhene of Dormaa), Dr. Saarah Mensah (Former PNDC Regional Secretary for B/A), Kofi Adoma Nwanwanii of Adom FM, George Attah Boateng (Coordinator, Computerized School Placement System) among other celebrated indigenes of Brong-Ahafo.
The programme was held at the University of Energy and Natural Resources in Sunyani.
