The founder and leader of the All People’s Congress (APC), Mr. Hassan Ayariga has dismissed his running mate and the General Secretary of the party for openly endorsing the flag-bearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo ahead of the December polls.
The two, Razak Kojo Opoku the General Secretary and Emmanual Carl Bartels, the running mate who accused the founder of scheming to endorse John Dramani Mahama against the party’s choice cited incompetence, corruption, unemployment, nepotism among others of the NDC government for their decision.
“This endorsement has become necessary considering the high level of incompetence, corruption, mismanagement of the economy, high rate of unemployment, killer taxes, collapse of private sector business, high utility bills, nepotism, tribal politicking under the eight year rule of the NDC.
“Enough is enough and the trending song is the change of the incompetent Mahama presidency. We strongly believe that only the Nana Akufo-Addo can offer a more credible, incorruptible and transformational leadership than all the other presidential candidates contesting the December elections,” he announced.
“However we wish Hassan Ayariga APC founder and leader well for his personal decision to endorse president John Mahama for the presidency on the 28 December 2016 at the Aviation Social Centre. We respect his personal decision but the party is against it. We are all Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP.
But Mr. Hassan Ayariga who was disqualified by the Electoral Commission from contesting the 2016 presidential elections has rubbished the claims and called on the general public to discard the information and wait for an official communication from the party.
He added that the two who have since been relieved of their positions ceased to be members of the APC the moment they broke protocol and endorsed Nana Akufo-Addo ahead of the party’s choice tomorrow.
