Ghana’s Black Satellites early Friday morning gained qualification into the Round of 16 at the FIFA under 20 World Cup taking place in New Zealand.
The former world champions topped their group with 7 points after beating Panama 1-0.
The goal came in the 82nd minute through Emmanuel Boateng but Panama wouldn’t give as they kept fighting back winning a penalty in the 90th minute and failed to score.
Argentina and Austria drew 0-0 in the other Group B game.
The side managed by Coach Sellas Tetteh who is chasing his second World Cup after winning it six years ago in Egypt, has been quite impressive so far.
