The Brong Ahafo Regional Police Command have arrested two community police personnel for allegedly conniving with some residents of Akyeremade in the Sene West District, who stormed the district police headquarters at Kwame Danso and freed some four suspects in custody.

The Public Relations Officer for the Command, Chief Inspector Augustine Kingsley Oppong revealed that the suspects were arrested after their preliminary investigations.

It was earlier reported that some residents in Akyeremade had attacked the district police headquarters at Kwame Danso, assaulted police personnel on duty and released four inmates after they were arrested for joining a group to attack some Sisala indigenes in the area burning over 200 bags of their charcoal in the process.

The Atebubu Magistrate Court has remanded into police custody the Polling station chairman for the Akyeremade New Patriotic Party (NPP) and two others for their involvement in the attack on the Kwame Danso Police station.
