Suspended National Youth Organiser and Commander-in-Chief of the Youth League of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Mr, Ernesto Yeboah has vowed to remain in office despite his suspension by the Party’s Central Committee.
According to him, his decision is premised on the fact that due process was not followed before arriving at the decision to suspend him. He questioned the rationale behind their suspension when they are genuinely fighting a good and just cause.
He added that even though his suspension is all over the media, the party is yet to officially communicate the decision to him.
“I, Ernesto Yeboah, National Youth Organiser and Commnder-in-Chief of the Youth League of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) have resolved to remain at post, despite my purported suspension by the Party’s Central Committee in the evening of June 30th 2016.
“… I have given the Central Committee (CC) ample time to do the right, and administratively correct, thing by waiting for them to communicate their collective position properly. But it is interesting to note that until now, I have not received in writing, an official communication from the party’s leadership on the said decision, not even a phone call”.
The National Executive Committee of the Convention Peoples’ Party (CPP) suspended Nii Armah Akomfrah and Ernesto Yeboah on June 30.
The suspension even though not official is believed to be in respect of their public condemnation of president John Dramani Mahama for accepting a Ford Expedition vehicle from Burkinabe contractor, Djibril Kanazoe as a gift contrary to the position of Mr. Ivor Greenstreet, the presidential nominee of the party.
