The committee vetting the aspirants vying for various executive positions in the Eastern region were surprised when one Nana Agyei Mireku came to the place with those items.
But Nana Agyei Mireku, a deputy youth organiser aspirant told journalists that national and regional executives of the party have over the years interfered in the election of executives in the constituency.
Sounding a word of caution to such individuals he said he was ready to curse any individual who tries to influence the process.
He continued that the modus operandi of those people has been the disqualification of innocent aspirants at the vetting level just to make way for their (regional and national executives) preferred candidates.
He defend his action saying that is the only way to deal with people who may try to interfere in the vetting process.
Such practices he said has sowed seeds of disunity in the party over the years making it difficult for them to effectively organise themselves to match the NPP boot for boot.
Attempts to get a reaction from the vetting committee hit a snag as they refused to comment on it describing as an irrevant matter.
