The three ex-South African security Personnel who were arrested by the BNI on criminal charges have been deported. The three Major Chris Hazis (rtd), Warrant Officer Denver Dwayhe, and Captain Mlungiseli Jokani, according to sources left the shores of Ghana via South African Airways on Tuesday morning.
The three ex Security Capos were said to be engaged in the training of some fifteen young men in various military aerobics which included, unarmed combat, weapon handling, VIP protection techniques and rapid response maneuvers to provide security to the Flag-bearer of the New patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo and his running mate Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia and other leading figures of the Party ahead of the November 7, elections.
The trio were detained for almost a week and charged with unlawful training and conspiracy to commit crime. They were later granted bail by the Accra Circuit Court in the sum of twenty thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc20,000) each but the BNI refused to comply with the court’s order and whisked them away into custody a decision that did not go down well with their lawyer Honourable Atta Akyea .
