Barely 24 hours after a picture of Mzbel endorsing the Free Senior School Policy sufficed on the internet, the singer has come out with a fierce defense.
According to the controversial musician, she is surprised that people are trying to use her comments on the policy to score political points.
She wondered if it wrong for a citizen to commend a government for introducing a good policy when we are expected to support policies that will move the nation forward in the interest of nation building.
She added that applauding the government for introducing its flagship programme does not mean she has switched from the NDC to the NPP.
Mzbel was emphatic that she is still a proud supporter of the opposition NDC.
“I am amazed by how people have reacted after I mentioned my Free SHS experience. Come on! Are we not expected to support what is Good and condemn what’s not?
“This doesn’t mean I have switched to NPP because I am a proud supporter of the NDC, but don’t forget I am a Ghanaian too. I care about the progress of this country and policies that will make life easier for all.”
Mzbel, a key supporter of the NDC yesterday after gaining admission for son at the Achimota Senior High School confessed that the policy is not a sham and commended the NPP.
