According to him, every year during Ramadan period, the make donations orphanages, Islamic Institutions and Muslim students at the second cycle and tertiary level to support them with food items as a way of showing love and compassion to them.
This he explained was in fulfillment of one of the principles of the Islamic Faith which required individual Muslims and Institutions That Allah has endowed with wealth to share with those in need during an important period like the Month of Ramadan which is the Month of giving and sharing, hence their decision to donate to the Muslim inmates.
Receiving the items on behalf of the inmates, Superintendent Earnest Akotua commended Gaskiya FM for their benevolence to the Muslim inmates on the occasion of the Ramadan Fast
According to him, the donation would go a long way to address the challenge of food the Muslim inmates face when they break their fast since meals given to them are inadequate.
They were later on taken into the prison facility where they had the opportunity interact with the Muslim Inmates.
Mr Bello urged them to use their period of incarceration to get closer to their God by devoting their time to prayers whilst awaiting his will to prevail.
He advised them not to allow their present predicament to discourage them because God has a special purpose for them and no amount of confinement could prevent the purpose of God in their lives from being fulfilled.
The Manager appealed to them to take advantage of the lessons they have learnt whilst in incarceration to reform their lives and shun from any social vices when they are released.
