GMA Strike | Sacked Holy Family Doctors To Be Recalled

Techiman Holy Family Hospital1

The National Catholic Health Service may recall the 14 house officers who were sacked from the Techiman Holy Family Hospital, has learnt.

This according to our sources follows an intervention by the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) and the Catholic Bishops Conference who prayed upon the Catholic Health Service to reinstate the doctors.

The doctors were relieved of their jobs after they served a notice to the management of hospital of their unavailability for training and service in expression of solidarity with their bosses currently on strike over their conditions of service — which according to the hospital was in sharp contradiction to the Catholic Church’s principles.

The Catholic Health Service is yet to confirm the issue but‘s sources say the doctors would officially be notified early next week.
