Mr Hassan Ayariga, former presidential Candidate of the People’s National Convention (PNC) in the 2012 election has admitted in an interview with the media that, he has formed a new political party after breaking away from the PNC, but denied knowledge of the release of his political posters in the public domain ahead of the official launch of the Party.
According to him, his team was not behind the leakage of the posters, but said it was orchestrated by individuals who are smarter than him and his team who have nothing to do with the party, describing it as premature.
Posters of his yet to be launched party, All People’s Congress (APC) went viral, which confirmed his threat of forming a new political party after breaking away from the PNC, when he lost his re- election bid to Dr Edward Nasigre Mahama in the party’s presidential contest last year..
Mr Ayariga disclosed that, very soon his team would announce the scheduled date for the party to be made public and the media would be officially invited to the launch of the newly formed party, the All People’s Congress (APC).
He indicated that, after an extensive grass root work and consultations throughout the country by him and his abled team, he has a strong conviction that, the party would make great impact in the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections with only ten months to go.
Meanwhile, the PNC National Chairman, Bernard Monah has hinted that, the party is in the process of engaging Mr Ayariga to prevail upon him to consider coming back to the PNC instead of forming a new political party which would not inure to the progress of the PNC and his political ambition.
