The Accra Regional Police Command has apprehended the suspect who killed Ebo Panford-Quainoo, the marketing officer of Vodafone Ghana, last month.
Abdul Razak Ibrahim, 18, was one of two unidentified gun-wielding men who allegedly shot the deceased in a robbery attack at his residence at Sakumono, near Jotasa Pharmacy, in the Greater Accra Region, on November 11, 2015.
The two armed robbers were believed to be behind another attack that took place at Vulcanizer, a suburb of Sakumono, an hour before the incident.
Mr Panford-Quainoo was said to have sold his car some days before the attack and the robbers were believed to have stormed his house in demand for the proceeds from the sale.
The Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, COP George Dampare, who disclosed this to the media said, “I’m happy to report to you that through the investigations and systems of what we call the detective policing strategies, we have been able to arrest one of the two individuals who did this to our brother and the family”.
COP Dampare further added that the police have mounted a search for the second suspect who is currently at large.
