His release follows a marathon of questioning at the CID Headquarters following a directive from the presidency for his arrest on the charges of defrauding under false pretext.
Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi was picked by the police immediately his flight touched down at the Kotoka International Airport around 12:30 pm on Wednesday afternoon.
He was quickly whisked away to the CID Headquarters where he was interrogated for several hours.
Mr. Nyantakyi was escorted by officials of the CID department to his residence for further investigations but was later granted bail under undisclosed conditions.
He has been asked report at the CID Headquarters tomorrow to assist in investigations.
