Former aspiring NDC parliamentary candidate for Berekum East, George Atta Boateng has been appointed by President John Dramani Mahama as the Acting Director General of National Information Technology Agency (NITA)
Mr Atta Boateng who is also the National Coordinator of the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), takes over from Mr William Tevie who has recently been appointed the Acting Director General of the National Communications Authority (NCA).
A statement signed by the Chief of Staff Julius Debrah said, the changes are part of President John Mahama’s ongoing restructuring of the leadership of government agencies.
Other agencies whose heads have also been reshuffled are Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and the Ghana Venture Capital Trust Fund.
Mr. Kingsley Awuah Darko, Acting Managing Director of Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company (BOST), takes over as CEO of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) from Dr. Alphonse Kwao Dorcoo who has been reassigned to the Ministry of Petroleum.
A Deputy Executive Director, Justice Tsar, takes over as Acting Executive Director of EOCO to replace Mr. Kweku Biadela Mortey whose contract has expired after attaining the retirement age.
Mr. Osman Suleiman is the new Acting CEO of the Ghana Venture Capital Trust Fund.
