Incumbent president of the Musicians Union Of Ghana, Bice Osei Kufour popularly known as Obour has been re-elected at the union’s congress held in Koforidua on Saturday.
Obour beat competition from fellow musician Gyedu Blay Abulley and music producer Appiah Dankwa (aka Appietus) to retain the seat he has held for four years.
He polled 88 votes whilst Ambulley and Appietus who polled 22 and 18 votes respectively.
Bessa Simons, Rev. Thomas Yawson and Samuel Kofi Agyemang stood unopposed for the First and Second Vice Presidency and Treasurer positions, respectively.
Chizzy Wailer beat Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi to win the National Organiser position with just 1 vote separating them. Chizzy polled 65 votes whilst Ras Appiah had 64.
