NPP Cited As The Most Insulting Party In MFWA’s Latest Report



The latest report released by the Media Foundation for West Africa has once again cited the New Patriotic Party as the Party which uses the most abusive language during media discussions.

The report covers the period between May 16 to 30, 2016 which monitored 40 Radio Station Across the Country involving 971 Programmes.

Three prominent Communicators of the Party namely Mr. Hopson Adoye, the former General Secretary of the Party, Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie (Sir John) and Yaw Adomako Baafi, Deputy Communication of the NPP were mentioned in the report.

The New Patriotic Party has for some time now been topping the list of the Media Foundation for West Africa’s list of Political Parties whose Communicators use the most intemperate language on the Media during discussions.

Meanwhile Mr. Adoye in his response has rubbished the report and accused the MFWA of engaging in selectivity, throwing a challenge to them to produce those words he had used which they found to be offensive and insulting.

Mr. Hopson Adoye, a Member of the NPP Communication Team, Mr. Charles Owusu of the Progressive People’s Party and Joseph Yamin, the Deputy Sports Minister of the National Democratic Congress topped the list with six indecent expressions.

The rest are Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie ( Sir John) NPP, Mr. Adomako Baafi, NPP and Mr Earnest Owusu Bempah, Communication Director of the National Democratic Party who also made three abusive expressions each.
