The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police have relaunched investigations into the gruesome murder of former artiste manager and music mogul, Fennec Okyere.
The CID according to multiple reports on Wednesday invited and interrogated maverick dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, over some damning allegations made during his recent press conference on Accra-based Pluzz FM, where he announced that he was parting ways with his former management Bullhaus Entertainment, who had earlier on released a statement that they “no longer have a working relationship with” the musician.
During the press conference held over the weekend, Shatta Wale accused his former manager Bulldog of having threatened to kill him like he killed the other guy.
“I have repeated the part about him threatening to kill me twice and i won’t hide it. Somebody asked him; Bulldog are you not the same person who has issues to answer in Ghana about things like these, and he responded, don’t mind him, I will kill him like I killed the other guy,” the self-acclaimed dancehall king told host Sammy Flex on Pluzz FM.
Shatta’s wild allegations have rekindled public interest in the case for which his former manager was put behind bars immediately after Fennec’s death and was later released.
Fennec’s family and his artiste, Kwaw Kese, have called for the rearrest of Bulldog and want the police to reopen the case and investigate further taking into account Shatta Wale’s recent claims.
Meanwhile, host of the show where Shatta Wale made those allegations confirmed on Facebook, Tuesday evening, that the police have already taken his statement and a copy of the audio recordings for further investigations.
