Sunderland Survives Another Relegation Battle As Norwich And Newcastle Drown!!!

Perennial English premiership strugglers, Sunderland survived another relegation battle this season after defeating Everton by three goals to nil.

The results left Newcastle and Norwich at the bottom of the league table four points behind Sunderland with the last round of matches to end the 2016/16 season even though Norwich City walloped Watford by four goals to two.

Newcastle’s former manager Kevin Keegan said before the match that Newcastle were going to be relegated.

Alan Shearer had also said nothing was going to save Newcastle this season from going to the Championship and that Rafael Benitez was not given enough time to save them.

Newcastle handed their relegation faith into the hands of Sunderland on Tuesday after failing to beat relegation stricken Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Asmir Begovic’s last minute misjudgement handed Liverpool one point at Stamford bridge after Chelsea had taken the lead through Eden Hazard’s first half strike.

The game saw excellent exploits from the troubled Chelsea star Hazard only for Benteke to steal the show in the last minute from a header after Begovic failed to clear his lines.
