Indigenes in and around Sunyani would gather together on Saturday, September 20 to walk for fitness as part of programmes lined-up for the MTN Suncity Fest organized by private radio station Suncity 97.1 FM. The programme dubbed the Suncity Walka-Thon kicks-off at 6am as patrons walk through some designated streets in Sunyani, after which they would gather at the Sunyani Coronation park to go through screening for Hepatitis B.
Multi-award-winning music icon Okyeame Kwame, who has taken a giant step to help combat Hepatitis B, comes together with his team and MDS Lancet Medical Laboratories to offer Hepatitis B screening shortly after the walk.
In a short interview with Melvina Frimpong-Manso on the Suncity Urban Groove, Okyeame Kwame indicated that as a musician, he thinks he should remain relevant and this gesture is one way of ensuring that.
As a climax to the morning programmes, music enthusiasts would be treated to some good music in a Hiplife Party with Okyeame Kwame on Saturday evening at the Sunyani Poly Auditorium. This would be an opportunity for people in the city to wind away some stress. OK is already in Sunyani and would be on the Highway Drive 971 today.
