Tamale | Confusion As “Times Are Hard” Demonstrators Clash With Azorka Boys

Information reaching banewsgh.com indicates that the peaceful  demonstration currently underway in the Northern regional capital by the coalition of opposition parties nearly turned chaotic after the demonstrators clashed with some people alleged to be members of the Azorka Boys vigilante group.

According to Eliasu Haruna one of the demonstrators , members of the the pro NDC vigilante group emerged from nowhere and clashed with  the demonstrators around the ‘Vodafone traffic light’ in Tamale but the police moved in swiftly to bring the situation under control.

“ We were just going about the demonstration through some of the principal streets peacefully when suddenly members of the Azorka Boys entered the crowd at the traffic light junction  just to create confusion but thankfully, the police were there to prevent any possible disaster”.

A coalition of opposition parties in the Northern region are embarking on the ‘Times are hard’ demo to protest over the general economic hardships in the country.
