One of Brong-Ahafo’s representatives in this year’s National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), Techiman Senior High School (Super TESS) crashed out of the competition, Thursday.
TESS dropped out of the prestigious competition after placing second with 44 points in their one-eighth stage contest which was won by Accra Academy who secured 54 points. Awudome SHS came third with 34 points.
Alvin Adjanyo and Dienatu Issaka, representing Techiman SHS qualified from the preliminary contest as one of the losing schools with the highest scores.
Their exit means, only three schools from the Brong-Ahafo region are left in the competition.
Sunyani SHS (Susec) will meet Assin Manso and West Africa SHS on the last day of the 1/8th contest to fight for qualification into the quarterfinals.
The other two, Kintampo SHS and Berekum Presby SHS have been paired against each other, which means that at least of one of them is would drop out when they finally clash with Bawku SHS in their 1/8th contest which comes off tomorrow, June 17, 2016
