Twelve pretty ladies have been selected to compete in the first ever edition of “The Tertiary Queen” pageant, slated for Saturday, December 5 at the Centre for National Culture (CNC) in Sunyani, the Brong-Ahafo Regional capital.

The contestants were selected after intense auditions in various tertiary institutions in the Brong-Ahafo region and are currently going through grooming sessions to receive the necessary polishing ahead of the big day.

The search for the 2015 Tertiary Queen took organizers to the Sunyani Polytechnic (S Poly), Sunyani Nurses’ Training College (SNTC), Catholic University College (CUCG) and the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), where three beautiful, daring and purposeful ladies were selected out of the many who applied to take part in the grand finale.

The contestants are; Amedior Mary Ann Afia (CUCG), Diana Fiamahe (S Poly), Addawutor Victoria (SNTC), Aisha Sayid (UENR), Karen Adjoa Selasi Koomson (UENR), Patience A Twene Boah (SNTC), Janet Antwi Bosiako (S Poly), Assim Giovanni Pokua (CUCG), Philomena Agyemang Osei (S Poly), Mwintoma Evelyn (SNTC), Nsiah Helena (CUCG) and Eshun Fosuaa Deborah (UENR).

Each of these ladies would be competing for the crown and the bragging rights as the most beautiful and talented female tertiary student in the region for the next one year.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with banewsgh.com on Monday morning, Ms Audrey Akosua Tindana, CEO of Tamaz Entertainment, organizers of the event said, patrons should expect an exciting and thrilling event worth more than the Gh¢20.00 price tag, since the girls are well motivated to give off their best.

According to her, apart from Kontihene and Kooko who would grace the event with captivating performances, patrons should expect many more surprises on the night.

The winner of the pageant takes home a Gh¢500.00 cash prize, a laptop and amazing souvenirs from sponsors whilst the first and second runners-up get Gh¢300.00 and Gh¢200.00 respectively plus mouthwatering souvenirs from event sponsors.
