UT Bank’s Prince Amoabeng Hands Over To Antwi-Asimeng As He Retires In December

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of UT Bank, Stephen Antwi-Asimeng, has been named the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the bank.

He is expected to take over in January 2016 from the current CEO, Prince Kofi Amoabeng who has just announced his decision to retire by the end of this year.

Mr. Antwi-Asimeng is currently responsible for Banking Operations, Banking Technology, Compliance, Service Quality and General Services at UT Bank and has over 25 years of solid professional experience in Banking & Finance, Investment, Management and Leadership.

He joined UT Bank from the Universal Merchant Bank and had previously held positions at Fidelity Bank and National Investment Bank (NIB).

Mr Amoabeng leaves the company he successfully nurtured at it difficult times, having posted its biggest loss ever, in the first half of 2015.
