Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun known by many as Wizkid has entered the 2018 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records.
The feat means the two-time BET awardee becomes the first Afro-pop artiste to feature in the Guinness World Records.
This was in recognition of his contribution to rapper, Drake’s hit song, “One Dance”, which topped several charts worldwide.
Wizkid has songwriting credits for the “One Dance” which has the Guinness World Record as the most played song on Spotify with over one billion streams.
Though 27 years, Wizkid has had a very illustrious career as he has received a total of 44 awards from 157 nominations as of June 2017.
The Guinness Book of Records was instituted in 1955 and it has since been published annually as a reference book listing world records both of human achievements and the extremes of the natural world.
